ValueLink has a full and comprehensive BCP in place. As part of our BCP, our Emergency Management team
comprises of a cross section of senior staff and is responsible for the review, effectiveness and communication
of our BCP within ValueLink.
We operate at dual sites (Head Office and Remote Office), which run in parallel. The Remote Office is within
fifteen minutes of the Head Office so that any required transfer of staff would not be problematic.
Power grids, utilities, exchanges and communications hubs are totally separate and fully diversified for each
site, ensuring that an outage at one site does not result in a similar outage at the other. ValueLink has
instantaneous UPS at both sites and our Head Office is supported by our own generator, which provides complete
power supply within a few seconds of any power outage.
Each site is manned daily ensuring that all functionality is tested every day. This provides instant
continuity in the event of a BCP invocation. Each site is fully capable of functioning on its own, with all
hardware, software, vendor data and communication applications mirrored on both sites. The in house designed
database and infrastructure give ValueLink complete independence with no reliance on third parties for maintenance
or development of our core systems.
With these arrangements, our BCP is tested constantly throughout each business day, with clients and data
vendors delivering files and collecting files from both sites, we are effectively in a permanent state of BCP readiness.
